JAGA… huh? How do you pronounce that?
JAGA… sounds like Jay-Guh
Harmony… you actually have that? Ha! No. But that’s our goal as a system.
JAGA Harmony came about a few years ago (or less) when we were striving to acquire a different or new system name that symbolized who we were and who we wanted to be. Something that felt “right.” After much discussion and creative and not-so-creative ideas on paper, we finally settled on JAGA.
For many years (~10+ years), our system name was Julie/s and Gems and All. Rather long, eh? It still amazes me after all those years we never once considered shortening it to JAGA. But our name symbolizes more than just an acronym of our old system name. It symbolizes the body’s first and middle name. For many years, we despised the body’s middle name because the father loved it. After meeting some inside with variations of the body’s middle name, we finally reclaimed the body’s middle name for ourselves and the J and A of JAGA also represents this. JAGA is also good because it isn’t strictly “Julie,” which is nice because there are many more of us that aren’t Julie or one of the ‘Julies’ or ‘julies.’ JAGA also symbolizes more of the intent for better unity and less separation and isolation from one another as demonstrated in the older and longer system name of Julie/s and Gems and All. Instead of 3 separate larger umbrella names to represent everyone in our entire system, we now have one name: JAGA. Our friends who are multiples often refer to us as JAGA and we all seem to identify with our overall system name. We have system names and group names within our overall system name of JAGA.
And Harmony… that came along a ways after JAGA was formed and being assimilated within and outside with our multiple friends. Harmony comes with it many more symbolisms that we’ll fill you in on later!
This section is still a work in progress.
This is a journal about our life/lives as a multiple system.
